SR Challenge 187 - Christmas in July

Here is my card for the challenge at this week. The theme for this week is Christmas in July. I have used some of my older designer paper and the stamp set called Snow much Fun by Stampin Up. I also used my Copics to colour in the snowmen and tree. The torn paper is supposed to look a bit like snow, (not sure about that one). I think I need a little more practice with the tearing technique. Pop on over and check out the other Christmas cards the Design Team have prepared. There is nothing better than getting an early start on the Christmas cards.

Thank You

Just a quick little note for everyone who left comments regarding the passing of Elly. I am so touched that you made the time to comment, and I am so very thankful. I have read all the comments a few times, and although a part of life, it REALLY hurts not to have her here with us. She was my work buddy, gardening buddy, craft buddy and model, and although being an animal, she was my best friend. So, again, thank you so much for your kind words of support.

Take care

Rest in Peace Elly Girl

so, i headed to the vet, bright and early this morning to try and get Elly some medication for the sore on her nose. She was acting very strange last night, almost to the point of being lost in her own house. i woke this morning to Elly being blind. i thought it may have been high blood pressure, which results in the retinas detatching causeing blindness. So, i get to the vet, she has a thorough check up and is diagnosed with having a cancerous tumor on her nose that has spread to her eyes and brain. So without any hesitation, i had the vet put my poor baby to sleep. i didnt want her to suffer anymore than she had to. The cancer was eventually going to cover her entire head and with no cure she is at peace now.

Daring Adventure

Here is my submission for the Stampin Royalty colour challenge this week. I chose to do another page layout using My Design Studio by Stampin Up. This program is so easy to use, and remember there is a 30 day free trial. The colours are listed above, which are quite nice together. Click on the link below to see what the other girls have come up with. They are awesome.

Stampin Royalty Picture Inspiration

Here is another 8" x 8" double page layout using MDS. I am so in love with this program from Stampin Up. This layout was created using the picture below as my inspiration. There just so happened to be a template available on MDS that fitted perfectly. Have a look at what the other girls have done with the same picture.

Single Layer Challenge

Oh Boy. The challenge for this week at Stampin Royalty is Single Layer. Oh man, did I struggle with this one at the start. I sat for hours with a sheet on white card stock in front of me, hoping that inspiration would come. Argh. Nothing. So, after many hours, I decided to jump onto MDS. Create a new project, resize the project to the card size I was after, went through all my SU digital stamps, and hey presto. This is eventually what I came up with. And, without tooting my own trumpet. I love it. Although I did use my Copics to colour the Poppies and stems.

Anything goes at Stampin Royalty

Stampin Royaltys' theme for this week is ANYTHING GOES. I thought that this challenge would be a piece of cake, but I had so many ideas floating around in my head, it was difficult to decide which one I would go with. I decided to scrap them all and play around with MDS from Stampin Up. Amazing program, once you get the hang on it. I created a double page spread 8.5" x 11". I had never attempted a Landscape digital page before, as we Australians struggle to get page protectors for this type of page. Becky Higgins to the rescue. I found these page pockets in a mixed set I purchased on the weekend.
Stay tuned for more MDS projects, as I am already hooked. Have a look at what the other girls have some up with this week. Here is the link for you.
